Tennessean:  Former GPD officer pleads guilty to DUI: Perry remains employed as public safety dispatcher (Dec 18 2012)

A former Gallatin Police Department officer who still works for the city pleaded guilty to drunken driving Dec. 11 and was sentenced to serve two days in jail.  Paul Perry, 46, was employed as a police officer but was off-duty when he was arrested in Gallatin June 6 by a Sumner County Sheriff’s Office deputy. He was suspended without pay pending the outcome of his case, but city records show he was allowed to voluntarily resign his position as an officer to work as a public safety dispatcher July 18.
